About Us

Our Story

Greenville Plastic Surgery, PA has professional staff members manning our in-house operating suite where all cosmetic procedures are performed just as if you were in a hospital operating room setting. Our office building itself is set against a backdrop of lovely trees and fields, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, yet very conveniently located near the Vidant Surgicenter, Vidant Medical Center, and many pharmacies and restaurants.

Our staff of fully trained nurses and office personnel is available to assist  with your care, appointments, insurance information, and any other needs you may have before, during, and after your procedure.

Our office hours are 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. Emergency care is available 24 hours a day. If you are unable to keep your appointment, please contact our office as far in advance as possible. We value your time and make every effort to keep you from waiting. Initial consultations include history, physical examination, professional opinion, creation of your medical record, and surgical fee quotes. Our fees are based on services provided, as well as, the complexity of your condition. 

Our Staff

Our surgeons have over 45 years of combined surgical experience and both are board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.  Drs. Rizzuti and Garrison perform a wide array of facial, breast, body contouring and reconstructive procedures as well as injectables such as Botox®, Juvéderm®, and Kybella.

Our staff consists of fully trained nurses and office personnel to assist you and is available to help you with appointments, insurance information and other business needs related to your care.

Surgeons

Richard Rizutti, MD

Surgeon

Dr. Rizzuti obtained his medical degree from East Carolina University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in general surgery at Pitt County Memorial Hospital (now Vidant Medical Center) and his plastic surgery residency at Duke University Medical Center. He received additional training in hand and microsurgery in Louisville, KY. Dr. Rizzuti is certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Rizzuti is active in his local church and has a passion for local and international outreach ministry. He enjoys cycling as well as hunting and fishing with his wife and daughters.

J. Lynne Garrison, MD

J. Lynne Garrison, MD

Surgeon

Dr. Garrison, a native of Greensboro, NC, obtained her medical degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She completed her residency in general surgery at Pitt County Memorial Hospital (now Vidant Medical Center) and her residency in plastic surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. In addition, she received a Masters degree in Public Health from the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Garrison is certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. She is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Garrison has served on the Board of Directors for multiple nonprofit organizations here in Greenville including Women for Women, Rocking Horse Ranch Therapeutic Riding Center, Greenville Museum of Art, and Literacy Volunteers of Pitt County. She is currently serving on the ECU Board of Visitors. She is an active, enthusiastic member of St. James United Methodist Church.

Charlotte is our nurse anesthetist. She administers general anesthesia to our cosmetic patients and monitors them in our operating suite and in the recovery room.

Lori is a surgical technologist who assists both surgeons in our in-house operating suite. When not in surgery, she also takes charge of ordering clinical supplies and restocking the operating rooms and exam rooms.

Sandi makes sure everything runs smoothly by planning and scheduling patient surgery appointments. She follows-up with our clients to make sure they have everything they need.

Annette is a nurse and surgical technologist who assists Dr. Rizzuti during consultations, follow-up visits, and surgery in our in-house operating suite and at Vidant SurgiCenter. She administers injectables and sclerotherapy treatments as well.

Becky Adams

Becky Adams

Perioperative Assistant

Becky has been our perioperative assistant since 2014. She ensures that we have all the necessary garments and linens that are needed in our clinical areas. She also fills in as needed in the office and clinic.
Janet Rice

Janet Rice

LPN, Licensed Esthetician

Janet began working in the aesthetic industry in 2000 and quickly developed a passion for the field. She became a licensed esthetician in 2006 and received her nursing licensure in 2010. Her education and background in nursing combined with her knowledge and love for skincare enables her to create a manageable skincare program for our patients that combines their lifestyle and personal goals. Janet has extensive training in a variety of aesthetic procedures including laser hair removal, chemical peels, IPL photorejuvenation, microdermabrasion as well as injectables. She is also happy to assist you in maintaining a more youthful appearance and combatting the aging process by utilizing our pharmaceutical-grade skincare products and makeup.

Jackie joined GPS in 1995 as the surgical coordinator. She was appointed to the manager’s position in 2000. Outside interests include traveling, music, and watercolor painting.

Patient Coordinator

Rachel joined GPS in 2001. She is stationed at our front desk check-out area, so you will visit her on your way out or on your way to visit our surgery scheduler. She also answers the phone and makes appointments. She is happy to give you information about our physicians, procedures, and skincare products.
Jean Lilley

Insurance and Accounts Receivable Specialist

Jean joined the practice in 2005 as our insurance and accounts receivable specialist. Her responsibilities include insurance claims submission and inquiries, verification of eligibility and benefits, prior authorizations, and billing and payment inquiries. Jean also assists patients with the completion of necessary paperwork prior to surgery including FMLA forms.
Diane Garris

Diane Garris

Transcriptionist/Medical Records Clerk

Diane has been with us since 2005 as our medical transcriptionist and medical records clerk. She keeps the transcription up to date and releases requested medical information to our patients and other providers to ensure continuity of care. She transfers before and after pictures to patient profiles and sends them to our patients at their request. She also assists with front desk duties as needed.

Kay is our newest employee, having joined the practice in 2017. She is the first smiling face you will see when you visit our office, as she is stationed at our front desk check-in area. She answers the phone and makes appointments and is happy to give you information about our physicians, procedures, and skincare products.
